Lucy Mecklenburgh got more than just a tan from her recent trip to Cannes; according to reports she caught the eye of a famous Hollywood producer while there and is now in the running to star in a film.

The TOWIE star was in the French Rivera to take part in a photoshoot, however managed to attract the attention of director Will Holman who’s currently casting for his horror film.

He invited Lucy to a formal meeting at a fancy Cannes hotel and now wants to fly her to LA to do an audition on camera. A source close to her revealed:

“She is keeping tight-lipped about it but apparently the director loves her look and thinks she is the perfect female for an important character in his film.

“He’s sending her the script and intends to fly her out to LA for an audition and to get her on tape. He says Lucy has exactly the look of the character that he imagined in his own head.”

She might be remaining tight-lipped about it publicly now but she has dropped a few not-so-subtle hints about the meeting via twitter. Last week she simply said:

“Wow sometimes dreams do come true #HappyGirl.”

This weekend, Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio attended the Tag Heuer Yacht Party in Monaco. Both actors have recently collaborated with the watchmakers, designing pieces for their collection with a portion of the proceeds going towards their chosen charities.

Tulisa and Chelsee Healey spent the day by the pool as they continued their holiday in Marbella. The pair later enjoyed an evening out at the popular Tibu nightclub where stars from TOWIE were also partying.

Amanda Bynes tried a new disguise as she stepped out in New York. The actress wore a brunette wig to cover her new short hairstyle. It's been a bad week for Bynes, who has made allegations about the treatment she received while in police custody.

Elsewhere in the US, Ke$ha took her 'Warrior' tour to Atlantic City, and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts enjoyed a night out in Los Angeles.

In the UK, Kitty Brucknell and The Cheeky Girls performed at Birmingham Pride, The Saturdays appeared as a four-piece at Radio 1's Big Weekend and Kate Moss was seen leaving a friend's house in Chelsea in the early hours of the morning

Fergie also performed at the Life Ball in Vienna and Jessie J played at Morocco's annual Mawazine Music Festival.

Oh no, last night a range of GB’s finest acting talent went to a star-studded party in Manchester. When we say the finest acting talent we mean a few people from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks. These big names included Lucy Jo Hudson, Carolynn Poole, Jack P Sheppard, Bronagh Waugh, Paula Lane, Jenny Mcalpine, Catherine Tyldesley, Lisa George and Sarah Barand. Big.Names. They then left with their arms full of free gifts and happy smiles on their faces. And that’s that really.

Well today’s the big day. Nicole Scherzinger has her first day as an actual, proper, real X Factor judge. Wowee. And like on the first day of school, her outfit choice today was beyond important because we all know it’s all about what the female judges are wearing and not really the singing. So the axed X Factor USA judge donned a rather ridiculous short green number that showed of her nude slip underneath. Now potentially this dress is ok, it’s just in the wind it really didn’t work. Despite her bad outfit choice she did all the obligatory X Factor poses and a bit of winking, making sure she got the attention she wanted. Just think, around a year ago Tulisa was making baby steps on the red carpet at the X Factor auditions as a brand new judge. She was considered a fairly oddball choice back then fresh from N Dubz, pre-makeover, pre new-teeth, practically unknown. Since then she’s had a rollercoaster ride to fame and is now back for another series of the show as a judge (we actually can’t believe it’s been a year since then). And for her return to the programme – which today is being filmed in Liverpool – Tulisa opted for a summery, floral frock which she paired with a studded belt and red shoes. Stand in judge Geri Halliwell (who’s onboard just for the time being thankfully) went for something a tad more racy, and lacy. She had a backless blue number on with ankle boots. The question is, whose outfit do you prefer – Geri’s or Tulisa’s? Or are they both as horrendous as each others?

We don’t say many nice things about Paris Hilton, and we’re not about to start to, however we will give her this – the girl’s got stamina. Here she is arriving on the red carpet in Cannes (though why and what for is anyone’s guess) having jetted into France straight after a late night party in LA. Apparently the socialite had been with Lindsay Lohan and other great influences at a bash in the Hollywood Hills which was so loud that the police had to be called out to put a stop to it. We doubt Paris Hilton plans to tone it down at all during her trip to the film festival either. Never mind, oversized sunglasses always hide a multitude of sins.

Actress Kristen Stewart had the taste of a man’s world when she dressed up as a dapper gentleman for an Elle magazine shoot recently. The Snow White and the Huntsman star is seen as both a man and a woman in the stylish shots. We actually think she looks pretty good as a bloke, don’t you? In fact she’s also hot in the leather skirt and crop top. Ooo it’s a tough call, do we prefer Kristen the man or Kristen the woman? The notoriously guarded actress opened up about her family life in the interview with the mag but of course revealed nothing about her love life (so nothing of interest basically). When asked about the gold ring which she wears on her index finger, which is thought to be from Robert Pattinson, she said:

'Everyone wants to know. Everyone knows already—it’s ridiculous,' No, hang on, wait Kristen we don’t know. She also revealed that she thinks she’s ‘boring’, which we are starting to agree with to be honest, she said: 'You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, "Why is everything so easy for me?" I can’t wait for something crazy to f***ing happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f*** me over! Do you know what I mean?' One thing we’ll say about Kristen Stewart is that she really does scrub up well when she needs to. Last night was one of those occasions as she attended the world premiere of her latest film Snow White and The Huntsman. In fact she looked so glam last night that she gave her glamorous co-star Charlize Theron a run for her money. It looks like the girls co-ordinated their outfits last night as both of them wore sheer black gowns and oozed gothic sexiness. We wonder if they sat in front of the mirror asking who was the fairest one of all? Sorry we had to.

The ladies were joined by Chris Hemsworth (who plays the Huntsman) on the red, or in this case, green grass carpet. Models Liberty Ross and Lily Cole, who also star in the film, attended. Lily chose to wear the black version of the Alexander McQueen dress that Pippa Middleton famously wore as bridesmaid. Other guests in attendance included Chris O’Dowd with Dawn Porter, Simon Webbe and Made In Chelsea’s Gabriella Ellis, Caggie Dunlop and Francesca Hull.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala is probably our fave event of the whole year. The red carpet is a mouth-watering A-list celeb fest full of gorgeous and often outrageous gowns. It’s not really too surprising that two of the most famous women in the world, Rihanna and Beyonce, stood out as the best dressed of the evening with daring wardrobe choices. New mummy Bey slipped into an embellished number, with a long sheer train with purple ruffles, which kind of reminds us of something Moritica Adams would wear. The Givenchy Couture dress allowed for a cheeky bit of bum on display, further highlighting what incredible shape she’s in.


Also going for a gothic look was Rihanna who chose a slinky Tom Ford number embossed with crocodile print. Admittedly it sounds a little rank but with a sultry gaze Rihanna looked every inch a vampish goddess. Other guests in attendance included Jessica Biel (with Justin Timberlake on her arm), Cate Blanchett, Scarlett Johansson, Mick Jagger, Gisele, Renée Zellweger (who looked more like Kate Winslet than herself) , Gerard Butler, Cameron Diaz, Liv Tyler and Jessica Alba.

We caught up with Tulisa as she left the ITV studios earlier today after an appearance on Daybreak. The singer opted for a rather ‘interesting’ outfit, which consisted off knee high boots, a blue playsuit and a patterned hair band. Over the weekend Tulisa revealed that she was keen to work with Lily Allen on the X Factpr but this morning it was all about Danni. She said: 'I used to watch X Factor before I got on the panel, so I always thought Dannii was great and I enjoyed watching her, so I'm sure we'd get along really well.;'

However T hasn’t yet officially been confirmed as returning to the show, she said: 'It looks likely. I know nothing.' Tulisa also took the time to talk about her (ex) band-mates. She said: 'We just wanted some time out, we all wanted to do our solo projects and establish ourselves as solo artists. 'We just don't have a set time on when we're going to reunite. We know we want to do it, and we probably will do it, we just haven’t set a time yet.' Oh so they are reuniting again. Great. Anyway Tulisa looked rather tired throughout the interview, which might explain why she was wearing that outfit – she must have got dressed in the dark while still asleep. It’s the only explanation.

If you’re one of the most beautiful women in the world you could pretty much wear anything and look good, including a bin bag, so it’s not surprising that the actress has once again achieved a wining look.

Last night Scarjo ignored the fact that it had peed down all day and opted for a summery look and as if by magic the rain suddenly stopped and the red carpet was free for her to casually saunter down.

We’re not actually too keen on the dress itself but, ignoring that, the patent red heels and her trademark red lipstick oozed sex appeal.

The rest of her cast-mates also attended but lets be honest no one really cares about them, do they? If you do there’s pictures of Robert Downey, Jr. Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth (with his very pregnant wife) and Jeremy Renner.

If there’s ever a time to show off a bit of cleavage then it’s at an awards ceremony, because it ensures maximum media exposure (as well as maximum chest exposure obviously).

So last night Brooke Vincent did exactly that when she attended the Royal Television Society Programme Awards in Landan where the soap she stars in - Coronation Street – was up for a gong.

And perhaps her choice of frock won the judges over (although it certainly didn’t win us over) as Corrie ended up bagging the prize for Best Soap & Continuing Drama.

Other award winners on the night included Russell Tovey & Sarah Solemani for Best Comedy Performance (in Him & Her) while Dominic West bagged the Best Actor gone for his part in Appropriate Adult.

Mark Wright, Leigh Francis, Caroline Flack and Sammy Winward also attended the ceremony.

It was the world premiere of her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth’s new film The Hunger Games last night however Miley Cyrus managed to steal the limelight from him somewhat when she turned up in this eye-catching ensemble.

Eye-catching mainly because it’s so ugly, but also because the black skirt and matching top which she wore with it went slightly sheer under the camera flashes. Not too sheer though, so she left with her modesty still intact but as for her sense of style – well, that’s certainly come under scrutiny.

Everyone wants to bag a ticket to Chanel’s catwalk show during Paris Fashion Week, and Katy Perry was lucky enough to get exactly that yesterday.

She was spotted taking front row at the show next to a bunch model types, plus that girl who used to be in Skins a couple of years ago (well done her for bagging a ticket as well).

Anyway, while in Paris Katy has been chatting about her new album plans. Apparently she’s got an idea of what she wants to do for the next two. She reckons they’re going to be “f***ing dark”, she added:

"I don't want to give too much away. I also don't want to play the game of trying to continually top myself because eventually it may not always go as I planned.

"I may not get to be able to have another number one, so I'm just gonna do what feels right for me artistically. I'm very inspired at the moment, and so I'm gonna follow my heart as I always have and hopefully people will like it."

We wish all out break-ups left us feeling artistically “inspired”.

Michelle Williams attended the My Week With Marilyn film premiere in Paris last night wearing a princess Pink silk gown designed by Monroe's favourite design house, Dior. The frock even had pretty bows and flowers all over it. To finish her Disney-esque look, Williams added a pair of modern day silver slippers.

The six-year-old inside of us is screaming with jealousy right now.

Brides- to- be and bridesmaids should also keep an eye out for the accessories which starting from £18 are a fraction of the cost of Jenny Packham’s mainline bridal jewellery and headpieces.
Jenny says: “My aim is to design styles that create glamour and excitement whether it be for the red carpet or a teenage prom. My collaboration with Debenhams is a great opportunity for me to offer my signature style at an attainable price.”

Are you ready for an onslaught of fahbulous faux fur, sequins and man-made fabrics? It's time to have a goosey gander through the outfits from last night's National Television Awards...

Celebrities attending the NTAs last night were divided into very distinct camps: the dark and glam, blushing bride-a-likes, the rule breakers, the perfectly pretty and...erm, the what-the-heck-is-that!


Gorgeous Holly Willoughby slipped into a flattering black gown for the event. We love the statement red lips but can't help feeling a little disappointed by how safe Holls played it. Her figure and glamorous hair 'do look fab, though.

Dancing On Ice star Heidi Range showed off her new size 6 frame in a sweeping fishtail number with a bizarre chain strap feature. That chain actually looks like it's holding her boobies up! Our roving heat reporter told us that Heidi had really bad skin up close. Yikes. Perhaps all of this DOI training is taking its toll...


Tess Daly got her pins out in a thigh split frock teamed with chucky gold jewellery. We don't mind the gold cuff but that neck piece looks a bit torturous to us.

Corrie star Alison King went typically soapstar-at-an-award-'do in her blue sequinned gown. Love the glossy curls, Al!
