Miley Cyrus seems to hit the headlines more for the various controversial incidents that she gets herself involved in than she does for just being a pop star and actress.
There’s been pole dancing, that Vanity Fair photo shoot, the whole salvia smoking incident, and then at her 19th birthday party she was caught on camera saying, “You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f**kin' weed.” Oh, dear!
“She can’t feel safe”
There’s one person who doesn’t think that Miley’s treatment in the press is at all fair, and that’s her gorgeous boyfriend and Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth. In fact Liam has told Details magazine in a new interview that it’s “ridiculous” how Miley can’t feel safe even when she’s with friends.
“She's in a room full of her best friends, and you have one person who comes in there and videos it,” he says of the clip that eventually went viral. “The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous.”
“She makes me happy”
As well as defending Miley, Liam also revealed how happy he is with the former Hannah Montana star, confessing that he tried to resist getting in a relationship with her when they met on-set,
“What happened happened, and we've been together two and a half years. She makes me really happy,” says Liam. “When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something."
