We don’t know why Russell Brand is back on British soil, but indeed he is. He arrived back in the UK last night from America in a predictable hat, sunglasses and skinny jeans combo.

Perhaps the comedian has decided to take some time away from the States as it’s currently being claimed his ex-wife Katy Perry has been trying to win him back. Or maybe he’s just got work commitments over here (apparently he’s recently been in discussions with the BBC to present a documentary), which is much more likely but there you go. Anyway, let’s indulge these “reunion” rumours for a moment or two shall we, just for laughs.

"Katy's been trying to get him back! She's a lost soul right now” a source told an American magazine this week, adding that her feelings for him had stirred again after her recent trip to India where the two tied-the-knot.

"She'd already been missing Russell. Being back there stirred up even more old feelings."

The reports suggests however that a “reunion” is a long way off, if it ever happens at all (and that’s a mighty big ‘if’), the source adds:

"At the moment they’re trying to get to the point where they can at least be friends."

A reunion between those two is about as likely as Kim Kardashian settling down and getting a nice low-key office job within the next year.
