Understandably, Dannii Minogue is said to be “inconsolable” following her break-up with Kris Smith.

The singer is currently holed up in her Melbourne home where she’s being comforted by family and friends, and according to reports she’s planning to stay out of the public eye until she’s recovered.

Kris however isn’t following to suit; he jetted off for a modelling job in Oz which saw him posing next to a selection of beautiful girls. It’s said that Kris’ flirtatious friendship with a few models was a source of contention during his and Dannii’s relationship together.

A source close to Dannii has said today:

“Dannii thought Kris was the one... he is the father of her child and she thought they would be a family forever.”

“But the reality is that it has been on the rocks for a year. Dannii fought so hard to make it work, but it was like Kris had given up. It is so devastating for her, given the bad luck she has had with relationships in the past. She is inconsolable.

“Her parents Ron and Carol are with her, and sister Kylie is supporting her as always... but she doesn’t feel ready to face the world.”
