Yup, it’s that time of year again. A bunch of random and annoying strangers will be shoved in a house together for the whole summer while we tune in and out (mainly out). It’s Big Brother of course…who’s excited? Channel 5 have tried to drum up some vague excitement around the launch tonight, so they’ve told us a bit about a few of the contestants. There will be a “very confident ladies’ man” (standard), who doesn’t get on with “big people” (that probably means they’ll be someone who’s really fat), a “jack the lad” who has played football with famous players and a DJing “self-confessed cougar” (she’ll fancy the ladies’ man and jack the lad). If that hasn’t excited you enough, there’s more…a “saucy chef”, a teacher turned porn star who also write a newspaper column (ok that’s weird even for BB) and an ex-Playboy bunny who ‘hasn’t drunk water for six years.” But surely that’s not quite strange enough yet? Nope there’s also a “posh” girl who is taking her second gap year (she’ll be the first to go), "a bin man turned bailiff who believes in UFOs, has a 50-inch chest and pays his mum to clean his flat", and a vain "peroxide blond hunk" who used to sell Avon magazines. Ok, ok, ok we have to say we’re slightly intrigued. Will any of you be watching it? If you do fancy it there’s a special audition show at 8pm and then the launch at 9pm with Brian Dowling again.
