The inquest into Amy Winehouse’s death last year is to be reheard as the coroner overseeing it did not have the correct qualifications it has emerged. At the initial hearing in October 2011 a verdict of “misadventure” was reached, however a month after that the presiding coroner resigned as she was allegedly “underqualified” and was hired for the role by her husband, the head coroner for St Pancras. The inquest into the star’s death will now be heard again in St Pancras next month. At the last hearing a report said Winehouse was five over the legal alcohol limit when she died and had three empty vodka bottles scattered around her room.
